United for All Woman Kind for Women’s Equality Day

As we approach Women’s Equality Day on Saturday, August 26th, NFDW members have a unique
opportunity to unite, celebrate, and advocate for equality at the local, state, and national levels.
Embrace the power of unity by organizing local events and gatherings in your communities. By
celebrating Women’s Equality Day everywhere, we can make a resounding statement about the
importance of women’s rights and equity.

Women’s Equality Day commemorates the 19th Amendment’s certification granting women
the right to vote. It serves as a reminder of the relentless efforts of countless brave women who
fought for this fundamental right. However, the fight for full equality is far from over. Celebrating this
day together presents an excellent opportunity to reinforce the need for continued advocacy and the
importance of maintaining women’s hard-earned rights.

Attached are some ideas and thought starters to help you plan at the state and local level and
organize at any scale.

This is being shared with the NFDW Board, 2023 Convention attendees, and State Presidents – please share with your members and networks.
